Online dating has revolutionized how we meet people, but it's also opened the door for bad actors. From harmless bots to sophisticated romance scams, fake profiles are the biggest hurdle to finding a genuine connection today. Here's how you can spot them before you get too invested.

1. The "Too Good to Be True" Photos

If every photo looks like it was ripped from a luxury magazine or an influencer's Instagram feed, be skeptical. Scammers often steal photos of models, actors, or influencers to lure victims. A genuine profile usually has a mix of photos—some posed, some candid, maybe a slightly blurry one with friends. If there's only one flawless, professional photo, swipe with caution.

2. They Push to Leave the App Immediately
